Bio:
Q: Where are you from?
A: I’m From Manchester originally but now I reside on a hill in Bolton Haha!.
Q: How long have you been DJ’ing?
A: I started DJ’ing when I was 15 in my mate Deyn’s bedroom on his twin deck belt drive,
they was mint…. Really!
Q: Why did you become a DJ?
A: All my mates at the time were DJ’ing and I never really paid any attention to it at first. But
when I saw them starting to master it I thought, I can do that, so I did!
Q How did you get started?
A: I got started by DJ’ing in a back street bar in Bolton.
Q: What sort of music do you play?
A: I hit all different kinds of genres now – anything from R&B through to Electro/Dubstep.
Q: Who are your music idols?
A: David Guetta, wouldn’t mind being a pound behind him! Also Laidback Luke because his
electro sounds are pretty spot on.
Q: What has been your best gig to date?
A: There’s a few to be honest but if I had to choose one it would be a toss up between Park
Life in Scotland and Es Paradis in Ibiza, both were pretty memorable for all the right reasons!
Q: What is your “in case of emergency break glass record’’?
A: Love Struck by South Side Spinners, what a tune!
Care to give us a rendition? Ooooooooor! Haha!
Q: What advice would you give to anyone who wants to be a DJ?
A: Go for it and watch them form an orderly que, just don’t get all big headed about things,
you’re not all that.
Q Laptop, vinyl or CDJs?
A: It used to be Vinyl, but it’s all about CD’s now!
Q: Where have you played and which one was your favourite?
A: Too many to mention them all but, Es Paradis, Eden, Park Life, The Arches, Liquid, and
Ikon
Q: Where can we see you play?
A: Occasionally in Cheshire (Gregory’s), Friday on a weekly basis at j2 Leavel 3 (Bolton) and the last Friday of every month in J2 & The Attic with ultimatedance.
Adam Smith is all about house music, he lives breaths and sleeps thinking about house music.
With 8 years experience on the decks, Adam Smith is a resident DJ on the 3rd floor. Adam dj’s every Saturday night on level 3 in J2. Adam’s love is for house music and loves to smash out tunes by David Guetta, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angelo, Laidback luke, well this list is endless anything with an awsome vocal or a massive baseline.
With a vast experience for a young DJ in both the UK and on the White Isle of Ibiza, Adam has played at a number of famous venues and for a number of brands including Eden (Ibiza) Es Paradis (Ibiza), Space Sundays, Hed Kandi, Kiss Da Funk, Pukka up, Garlands,2 Risque, Sankeys Koochi, On a Plate, Plush, Area 51, Kico, Rififi, Nu Bar, Atlantis, Loaf, Tiger Tiger, Heaven and Hell and The Millionaires club.
Adam has also played alongside a number of “big” names some of which are Eric Morillo, Axwell, Benny Benassi,Robbie Rivera, Sandy Rivera, Vernon Kay, Dave Pearce, Tall Paul and Kim Fai.
